Privacy
This page is the policy behind the pledge that appears under every signup form on this site. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. Every promise here is one the system keeps.
What we collect
An email address, when you type one into a signup form and submit it. Some forms also take optional typed fields: the name of your carrier, a renewal month, or a case you chose to follow. The Coverage-Gap Quiz stores your nine answers in your own browser; they reach us only if you ask us to email your file, and then they travel with that one email so the file makes sense.
That is the whole list of what you hand us on purpose. The site itself also runs five third-party services, and the next section names every one of them. An earlier version of this page said the site ran zero analytics and zero third-party scripts. That stopped being true when advertising and measurement went live, and the sentence is corrected here rather than quietly deleted.
Advertising, analytics, and cookies
Five third-party services load on these pages. Each one is named here with what it does and how you switch it off.
Google AdSense. Google and its partners serve the advertising on this site. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to this site or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Third-party vendors we do not control may also serve ads through Google’s network and set their own cookies; Google’s own handling of that data is described in the Google privacy and terms site.
Google Analytics. Measures which pages get read and how people arrive. It sets cookies and records a truncated IP address, and it never receives your email or your quiz answers. You can block it entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
beehiiv. Runs the newsletter signup boxes. It receives an email address only when you type one in and submit it.
Impact. Measures clicks on the partner links in the rankings so the flat fee gets attributed. The click carries no information about you.
Cloudflare. Hosts the site and delivers every page, so it handles your IP address and browser details the way any web host does. On perildesk.com it also adds Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and load times without cookies and without building a profile of you. Its handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Blocking cookies in your browser settings stops the advertising and measurement cookies described above. Nothing on this site stops working when you do.
Your rights, wherever you are
Use the contact form, pick the Privacy request topic, and ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. We answer within thirty days. There is no account to create.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal basis for the newsletter is your consent, which you withdraw by unsubscribing, and the legal basis for measurement is our legitimate interest in knowing which stories get read. You may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we have not in the preceding twelve months. You may still ask what we hold and ask us to delete it, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
We never sell your data
We never sell, rent, or share your information for marketing. A partner receives what you type only when you submit a form that says so at the button. No form on this site says so today, because no form on this site hands anything to a partner. The partner links on the rankings pay us a flat fee on the click. The click carries no information about you.
Email, list by list
Each signup form on this site feeds exactly one list, and each list sends exactly what its form promised. Every email unsubscribes its own list. One click ends it.

Unsubscribing from one list never touches another, and signing up for one never adds you to another.
Phone consent
No page on this site collects a phone number today.
If a form ever does, it will carry this consent language at the field, checkbox unchecked, and consent will never be a condition of anything:
Retention
An email address stays on its list until you unsubscribe. An unsubscribed address leaves the list at once and leaves our systems within 30 days. Quiz answers live in your browser session and end when it ends; the copy that travels with an emailed file powers your emails here and nothing else. This prototype stores nothing server side, because it has no server.
